Inspire your website visitors to take action  - #MondayMotivation 8

Maybe you sell traffic cones. What is inspiring about traffic cones?

Not a great deal I would imagine (I have no experience of the traffic cone market – cards on the table here!) but being inspirational yourself is key to inspiring your visitors in turn to be motivated to act. So a way must be found.

Inspiration has connotations of artistic creativity and that is certainly a component of it, but in this case, a case where the product or service you supply may be more mundane or pedestrian, you need to harness that creativity you possess in a different way.

Again, language is a great way of inspiring people to take action. By using inspirational language and painting images of the success gained by working with you or buying from you or subscribing to you, you can inspire people to take that all important step and engage with you.

Some of the more subtle uses afforded by kinaesthetics are difficult to engineer in a web environment because you are denied visual cues from your visitors, but testing and trialling different combinations of words, colours and positioning on the page can, over time, produce exceptional results. Successful website design should be constantly evolving to meet deliver the required results after all.

You can also use the online blog function on platforms such as ours in order to become a thought leader in your industry – even if it is traffic cones! Good leaders are trailblazers and innovators; great leader inspire others to do more, reach higher, dream bigger.

So take your inspiration from what motivates your customers and produce cues and pointers and stories on your website that inspires them to take positive action.
